Service Description

Your dog must be at least six months old for this procedure. The procedure includes an antibiotic injection and pain management injection (Torb or Rimadyl). We recommend additional pain medication — Torb or Rimadyl — for five days after the operation. Note that Torb or Rimadyl are NOT included in the price quoted here; please ask us about pricing for the pain medication. Before your dog's surgery, we recommend pre-anesthetic bloodwork to check liver and kidney function to make sure your pet can metabolize anesthesia properly; and we will run a CBC check for white and red blood cell counts. Cost is $28.57. *Spaying is based on the weight of the dog having surgery. The BASE rate shown here is for dog weighing 0-25 lbs. -- so base rate is $231.28. If your dog is in heat or pregnant, add $36.75 to $68.25, depending on the size of the dog. Weight rates are: Spay - 0-25 lbs. = $231.28 Spay - 26-50 lbs. = $275.30 Spay - 51-75 lbs. = $310.54 Spay - Over 75 lbs. = $325.50 *Note: Poplar Springs Animal Hospital reserves the right to change the price of this service or any other service if the circumstances alter.
